Attention All Component Soldiers! Important updates and guidance to IPPS-A Application Security (APPSEC), access, and roles.
As a result of a recent the Access & Account Management Guidance Memo, WORLD ROWSEC will soon be locked. All new requests must be approved at the following levels.
- Active Duty / COMPO 1 approved at Human Resources Command (HRC) Enterprise Modernization Directorate (EMoD) Office
- National Guard / COMPO 2 approved at National Guard Bureau (NGB) Training Office
- Army Reserve / COMPO 3 approved at United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) Manning Division
If IP_HCMPD_WORLD (WORLD ROWSEC) is selected, the request will automatically route to the Principal Validator. Field Users are NOT authorized to approve WORLD ROWSEC. All requests must provide a statement of justification.
For users who currently have WORLD ROWSEC access, you will maintain your access level for 365 days from the approved request. Once it expires you will be required to follow the new procedures above.
Please note, there is no change to the current process for ROWSEC access below WORLD.
Furthermore, to comply with recent program guidance and audit requirements, the Commander subcategory (SUBCAT) designation is being removed from all Enlisted Service Member profiles in the system. Sergeants Major (SGMs) and Command Sergeants Major (CSMs) are exempt from this update and will maintain their current SUBCAT designation.
Members who had the SUBCAT Commander removed have the ability to request the Manager or Leader SUBCAT under the Commander Category.
There are NO requirements for users to resubmit a new access request.
UPDATE: 11 MAY 2026
As of May 11th, 2026, access request forms were modified to include ROWSEC (Row Level Security) validation. As a result, one new pop-up message is currently active requiring Members to submit new requests for recertification.
Recertifications: Due to the update, all Members attempting to recertify their access must submit a new access request. Once the new access request has initially been approved by the appropriate Validators, the recertification process will resume as normal.
Please remember, when submitting a new access request a statement of justification is required in the comment section if you are requesting WORLD ROWSEC.
