IPPS-A Updates: Retirement Points, STP, IPPS-A Connect, CRM, Known Issues/Roadmap and Soldier PCS XP

Teammates,

We’re excited to reach out together to share the latest IPPS-A updates.  As IPPS-A’s FMD Director and Senior Enlisted Advisor, we want you to hear directly from both of us about the progress we have made and how we are working to benefit our Warfighters in the field.

Some important updates and guidance:

Enhancing Retirement Points Management

On 22 September, the Army National Guard’s Retirement Points Accounting Management (RPAM) was integrated into IPPS-A.  This transition marks the beginning of a more comprehensive and streamlined way for Members to manage their retirement points.

In a later release, new capabilities will include Regular, Nonregular/Reserve, and Permanent Disability Retirement List (PDRL) retirement points.

These changes will ensure Army readiness by complying with the new DoD retiree reporting requirements and enhancing Talent Management (TM) through increased Total Force Visibility in IPPS-A.

Soldier Talent Profile (STP) Update

Recent issues impacting the STP are resolved.  Please note that the Date of Estimated Return from Overseas (DEROS) and Year-Month Available to Move (YMAV) are now showing up as expected.  If you experience any issues, please open a CRM case.

IPPS-A Connect

IPPS-A Connect is our new central hub for everything IPPS-A!  Access the latest announcements, policy updates, guides, and more — all designed to help you support your Soldiers effectively.

Explore the resources and maximize your impact.  Bookmark today: https://armyeitaas.sharepoint-mil.us/sites/usaasc-peoeis-IPPS-AConnect.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Resolution

Approximately 28,000 HR Open/Hold cases have been sitting in CRM for over 30 days; this includes about 18,000 not yet assigned to a member of that HR Provider Group.

About 1,150 IT Open/Hold cases are still in CRM with about 130 not yet assigned to an IT Provider Group Member for resolution.

Remember, put Soldiers first; let’s resolve these cases.  If you have questions, check the CRM Manual, join the Drive the Change OTSS Channel, or contact the Help Desk.

Known Issues and Roadmap

You ask, we deliver: Team IPPS-A is bringing back the Known Issues and Roadmap resources!

Our Known Issues tracker allows you to see what issues we have documented and are working through for resolution.  The Roadmap outlines the major post-release aspects of IPPS-A development, and provides clarity on project goals, milestones, tasks, timelines, and dependencies.  These items are effectively helping to Drive the Change we need in Army modernization efforts, and we encourage you to review them to gain a better idea of where we are headed.

We will regularly publish updated versions of these documents on our socials and at: https://ipps-a.army.mil/Future-Capabilities.

Soldier PCS XP Visits

Personnel from G-1, IMCOM, and Team IPPS-A conducted Soldier Experience Visits to gather feedback on finance, medical, housing, childcare, spouse employment, and schools.  This input will improve PCS in- and out-processing for Soldiers and Families — thank you to all the Change Champions who participated!

As PCS season wraps up, Soldiers should continue using IPPS-A tools for proper absence submissions to ensure a smooth move and accurate pay.  HR Pros can use the TDY Enroute Job Aid for creating TDY and PCS absence events.  You may find PCS resources at: ipps-a.army.mil/Drive-the-Change/PCS-Season/.

Keep driving the change we need in our Army!
