Teammates,
August was another busy month. Below are important updates and guidance:
Self-Service Homepage
We hear you! The 8 August Self-Service page updates were NOT good and the CAC photos on the Person Details Tile is not great. We heard your feedback and are developing a way forward to correct these issues. You can expect updates in an upcoming release and information during the following Drive the Change session — which is the beauty of Agile software development.
The PAID Tile has returned to the homepage.
In the meantime, several Self-Service functions are currently located under the My Soldier Data Tile, including:
- Personnel Action Request (My Personnel Action Requests, My Buddy Personnel Actions)
- Soldier Movement (My Assignment Elections, My Duty Status Detail, My Dwell, My Personnel Tempo (PERSTEMPO) Events, My Temporary Duty Event (TDY))
- Soldier Profile (Talent Management (TAM) Soldier Workcenter > My Soldier Talent Profile (STP), Board Preferences U.S. Army Reserve/Army Reserve National Guard (USAR/ARNG), Dependent/Beneficiary Coverage, My Retirement Points, My Service Dates, Physical Profile)Soldier Forms (DD Form 214, DD Form 93, My Orders, Pay-Absence-Incent-Ded (PAID))
This is another great example of why feedback from everyday users is so critical to this system and program. From an end-user perspective, you are our eyes and ears — and we appreciate that!
Personnel Contact Information
We’ve made some enhancements pertaining to contact information. IPPS-A’s Personal Information Tile, Leader’s Dashboard, and Projected Strength Dashboard (PSD) now contain the preferred email address and phone number for all Soldiers, including incoming (i.e., “inbound”) Unit Members.
When you click the email address link, it launches an email window in Outlook.
We are excited about this new functionality, as it supports critical onboarding and integration efforts for Soldiers, while ensuring leaders can quickly and directly contact and communicate with their incoming personnel. G reat work team!
Frequently Used Absence Reasons
Another recently completed enhancement allows users to view the top three most frequently used chargeable Absence Reasons in the Category 2 Search Results under the PAID Tile. Relocating the reasons to the top of the list was a request across the field to facilitate the ability to quickly locate the absence they are seeking. Users can still re-sort them back into alphabetical order, as needed.
Leader’s Dashboard Reports
A new and improved Reports feature is coming soon to the Leader's Dashboard. This new feature gives Senior Leaders and HR Pros more control and flexibility than ever before.
You'll be able to:
- Create highly customized reports
- Organize them however you want
- Save your favorites for quick and easy access
- Share with your team with just one click
