Self-Professed Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors (KSBs)
IPPS-A’s Soldier Talent Profile (STP) provides a detailed level of workplace characteristics on each Soldier in our force and allows the careful management of a Soldier’s career from Accession through Transition.
Tracking, maintaining, and evaluating STP data elements helps our Warfighters stand out and gives Commanders a closer look at their knowledge and abilities, ensuring the most qualified individuals are placed in positions of responsibility.
Please urge Soldiers to input their Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors (KSBs) into their IPPS-A STP on a regular basis. Doing so will not only provide visibility over the Total Force of available talent but will maximize Soldiers’ potential and career progression.
Stay tuned for more information and resources to guide you through this process. In the meantime, please refer to the Training Aids section of our website:
https://ipps-a.army.mil/Training/Training-Aids/. The Self-Service: Personnel Records Update Job Aid and Self-Service User Guide will be helpful.
Regularly updating your STP with KSBs ensures
you are taking ownership of
your career.
