Teammates,
We have had another busy, yet productive month. Thank you for continuing to provide us with feedback as we build upon IPPS-A together.
Some important updates and guidance:
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Season Resources
PCS Season is here! Please remember that Soldiers must utilize IPPS-A tools and resources to learn and execute the proper procedures for PCS absence submissions. We have launched a PCS resources page at
https://ipps-a.army.mil/Drive-the-Change/PCS-Season/.
This page will provide Members and HR Pros with the tools needed to make the administrative aspects of PCSing as seamless and productive as possible. I particularly encourage you to review and share the PCS Member Overview and HR Pro Overview guides. These offer great starting points to ensure you kick off the season right!
Absence Request Improvement
You asked and we listened! Attaching a Leave and Earning Statement (LES) is no longer necessary to validate accruals. Members are now able to view their absence balance while doing an absence request submission. When Members request a chargeable absence, Leaders will be able to view the balance in IPPS-A to support their decision to approve or deny the submission.
Data Correctness Dashboard
We are working on improvements to the Data Correctness Dashboard to better assist HR Pros in correcting some of the data elements in IPPS-A and improve the overall accuracy of system information. The latest release included Expiration Term of Service (ETS), Pay Entry Base Date (PEBD), and Control Grade (CONGR) data. To learn more, review the Data Quality/Correctness Job Aid at
https://ipps-a.army.mil/Training/Training-Aids/.
These dashboard improvements will also improve PCS actions, as having accurate data will help HR Pros properly arrive or depart Soldiers and that their pay is not negatively impacted. Ensuring current and future iterations of IPPS-A reflect accurate information; doing this will correct potential Failure to Lose/Failure to Gain (FTL/FTG) inconsistencies.
Throughout this process, we will need your support, so stay tuned for more information on this initiative.
DD Form 214 Series
The team is preparing for the DD Form 214 series release in May. Training is ongoing by invitation and on the Drive the Change channel, and more guidance is forth coming. Please make sure to keep up to date by visiting
