FRAGO 5 Release 3: Active, Army National Guard and Reserve Components
The current Human Resources (HR) Information Technology environment consists of 200+ disparate HR and pay systems and over 650 interface and data exchanges between internal and external Army and DoD systems.
The Army initiated its HR modernization program with the deployment of the IPPS-A Release 2.
Release 3 builds upon Release 2 and provides foundational HR, talent management and auditability capabilities for all Army Components
Department of the Army fields IPPS-A Release 3 to all Army Components.
Task 2: Facilitate and ensure data correctness across all Army Components prior to Release 3 system deployment. Update the Army Organization Server (AOS) to facilitate the build of a viable IPPS-A organizational hierarchy.
Task 3: Successfully convert 9 systems, subsume 20 legacy systems (partial and full), and establish inbound/outbound interfaces with 82 other systems.
Task 4: Execute a comprehensive education and training plan supporting users and HR Professionals including new equipment training (NET), MilPay Fundamentals and Transition training, and Institutional Training for the Total Force.
Task 5: Execute Change Management and HR Transformation Initiatives that enable units to prepare for a successful Release 3 Go Live.

IPPS-A will provide users with robust self-service support through online access available 24/7 through the IPPS-A website, by phone or by email.
