Starting August 17, 2026, a simpler and faster IPPS-A login process for personal devices will require a myAuth account. myAuth, a new authentication system, will replace the existing DS Logon system sunsetting on September 30, 2026. This modernization effort provides a more user friendly, efficient and secure way for IPPS-A users to access their information.
For Soldiers to log into the IPPS-A self-service portal (my.ippsa.army.mil) or IPPS-A app on any device, on any network, they must use their myAuth login. Simply login anywhere using your DS Logon and you will be prompted to create an account.
For the IPPS-A elevated user access portal (hr.ippsa.army.mil), there are four options:
- From a personal phone, enroll in Army Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program and install/configure Hypori.
- From a personal computer, install Army Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- From government issued equipment, connect to NIPR via ethernet cable or VPN.
- From GFE cell phones, currently devices on AMD do not have VPN connectivity and access requires Hypori.

About myAuth Accounts
With myAuth, you can use your CAC or username/password plus a secure multi-factor authentication method to access multiple DoD websites with just one login.
- How will it work? To create your myAuth account, you will use your existing DS Logon account. The system will walk you through creating a DS Logon account if you do not have it.
- During Setup: Download the Okta Verify application on your smart phone, where you can set up passwordless authentication for a more secure and frictionless sign-in experience.
- Optional CAC Login: Once you have myAuth set up, you will also have the option to use your Common Access Card (CAC) to log in if desired.
